Postdoctoral Opportunity in Mathematical and Theoretical Biology

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Mathematical and 
Theoretical Biology.  The successful applicant will develop and analyze 
mathematical models for the regulation of task allocation in honeybee 
colonies. The work will involve models for bee physiology and development 
as well as models for colonly regulation via tactile and chemical 
communication. Applicants should have a doctoral degree in Biology, 
Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics and some experience with mathematical or 
computational modelling. Work will be carried out at the University of New 
Brunswick, Fredericton, under the supervision of James Watmough, and will 
involve collaboration with other reserachers in Mathematics, Chemistry and 
Biology.  The start date is November, 2009.  However, an earlier start may 
be possible.
