Applications are invited for Fields Postdoctoral Fellowship positions with
the Thematic Program on Geometric Constraint Systems, Framework Rigidity,
and Distance Geometry (the "Program") taking place at the Fields Institute
from January 1 to June 30, 2021. More information on the program will be
posted here as it becomes available:
http://www.fields.utoronto.ca/activities/20-21/constraint.

The fellowships provide for a period of engagement in research and
participation in the activities of the Institute. Candidates are encouraged
to interpret the subject areas of the program broadly. Fellowships may be
offered in conjunction with partner universities, through which a further
period of support may be possible. Please list the name(s) of faculty
members at Fields Institute Principal Sponsoring Universities (PSUs), who
you believe are appropriate on your cover sheet. You are encouraged to apply
directly to these other institutions as well. PhD students are encouraged to
include expected completion dates in their cover letter.

One of the Fields Postdoctoral Fellows associated with the Program may be
awarded the prestigious Jerrold E. Marsden Postdoctoral Fellowship. This
fellowship pays an enhanced stipend and provides for a six-month period at
Fields for research and participation in the activities of the Program.

There may also be a number of two-year positions available connected to the
Fields-Ontario Postdoctoral Fellowship (FOPDF). These fellowships involve a
semester at Fields and three semesters at one of Fields PSUs. To apply for
the FOPDF, please indicate your interest on the cover sheet and include the
names of faculty members at Fields PSUs who may be appropriate as
supervisors. Eligibility: Qualified candidates who will have a recent PhD in
the area of the Program or a related area of the mathematical sciences are
encouraged to apply. Fellowship positions are conditional on funding for the
Program.

Deadline to apply is March 31, 2020. Late applications will be accepted
until the positions are filled.
