The School of Mathematical Sciences at Monash University invites
applications for the position of Lecturer. This is a fixed-term research
and teaching position aimed to enhance the existing research group in
Topology, whose interests include low-dimensional topology, topological
recursion, contact topology and hyperbolic geometry. Candidates will be
expected to have an outstanding research record.

All candidates will be expected to help our drive for excellence across
the school. The school recognizes the need for a strong mathematical
underpinning of research in many schools across the campus and is
committed to delivering outstanding mathematics teaching.

To be considered you will have a PhD in mathematics or a closely related
discipline, research experience in Topology, proven ability to perform
independent research, and the potential to publish in high quality
journals. You must also have excellent communication skills and the
ability to teach mathematics effectively at a range of levels.
