Le Séminaire de Mathématiques Supérieures (SMS) 2017 présentera environ 
une douzaine de mini-cours sur des développements récents remarquables 
en systèmes dynamiques : hyperbolicité partielle, rigidité, actions de 
groupe et renormalisation, formalisme thermodynamique et hypothèse 
ergodique.

L'objectif de cette école d'été est de faire la lumière sur différentes 
facettes de la théorie des systèmes dynamiques et d'offrir une occasion 
aux étudiants des cycles supérieurs et aux jeunes chercheurs d'obtenir 
une perspective de ce domaine des mathématiques en rapide évolution. Les 
conférences seront données par des experts réputés. Les mini-cours 
seront complétés par des sessions d'exercices, ainsi que par des 
conférences invitées par les participants juniors qui ont déjà fait 
d'importantes contributions au domaine.

Les conférenciers du SMS 2017 sont : Sylvain Crovisier (Paris-Sud), 
Konstantin Khanin (Toronto), Patrice Le Calvez (Paris VI), Kathryn Mann 
(Berkeley), Andrés Navas (Santiago, Chile), Juan Rivera-Letelier 
(Rochester), Federico Rodrigues-Hertz (PennState), Christiane Rousseau 
(Montréal),Ferrán Valdez (UNAM, Mexico), Marcelo Viana (IMPA, Brazil).

Le SMS est une école d'été annuelle en mathématiques pures et appliquées 
créée à l'initiative du département de Mathématiques et de Statistique 
de l'Université de Montréal en 196. Aujourd’hui le partenaire principal 
est le CRM. Les instituts mathématiques canadiens Fields, PIMS et le 
MSRI participent à la mise sur pied du SMS. Le SMS reçoit également le 
soutien de l'ISM, de l'Université de Montréal, ainsi que celui de la 
SMC, du MSRI et de l’IMPA. Centré sur un sujet de recherche à la fine 
pointe de l'actualité, le SMS réunit des conférenciers de très haut 
niveau et des étudiants provenant du monde entier.

*The *2017 Séminaire de Mathématiques Supérieures (SMS) will feature 
about a dozen minicourseson remarkable recent developments in 
Contemporary Dynamical Systems Theory: partial hyperbolicity, rigidity, 
groups actions and renormalization, thermodynamic formalism and the 
ergodic hypothesis.

The goal of the summer school is to shed light on different facets of 
dynamical systems and to provide a unique opportunity for graduate 
students and young researchers to get a "big picture" of this rapidly 
evolving area of mathematics. The lectures will be given by the leading 
experts in the subject. The minicourses will be complemented by guided 
exercises sessions, as well as by several invited talks by the junior 
participants who have already made important contributions to the field.

*OUR PARTNERS*

This annual summer school SMS in pure and applied mathematics was 
initiated in 1961 by the Mathematics and Statistics department of the 
Université de Montréal. Today the main partner is the CRM, The Canadian 
mathematical institutes, Fields and PIMS, also participate in the 
organizationof the SMS. It also receives the support of the ISM, of the 
UdeM as well as that of the CMS, the MSRI and the IMPA. Focused on a hot 
current research topic, the SMS brings together extremely high quality 
lecturers and students from all over the world.
