Chers participants,

J'ai le plaisir de vous annoncer que le Sixième atelier de résolution de
problèmes industriels de Montréal se tiendra au Centre de recherches
mathématiques du 17 août au 21 août 2015. Comme pour les cinq premiers
ateliers, nous proposons aux participants (professeurs, représentants
industriels et étudiants) d'examiner et de résoudre des problèmes soumis
par des entreprises diverses. L'adresse du site de l'atelier est

L'atelier proposera des problèmes en entretien des équipements,
photonique, équilibrage de charge, visualisation des données et
fabrication additive. Un sixième problème vient du secteur bancaire.

Cette année, l'atelier s'inscrit dans le cadre de la Plateforme
d'innovation des instituts, un projet des trois instituts canadiens de
mathématiques financé par le CRSNG et ayant pour but de susciter des
collaborations entre les entreprises et les chercheurs universitaires en
sciences mathématiques.

Je vous invite à vous inscrire le plus rapidement possible et à encourager
vos étudiants à participer à l'atelier. Les renseignements concernant

Dear participants,

The Sixth Montreal Industrial Problem Solving Workshop will take place at
the Centre de recherches mathematiques from August 17 to August 21, 2015.
As was the case for the first five IPSWs, the participants (professors,
industrial representatives, and students) will study and solve concrete
problems proposed by various companies. The web site of the workshop may

The proposed problems come from the following areas: maintenance of
equipment, photonics, load balancing, data visualization, and advanced
manufacturing. A sixth problem comes from the banking sector.

This year the workshop is linked to the Institutes Innovation Platform, an
endeavour of the three Canadian mathematics institutes that is financed by
NSERC and was created to foster collaborations between industry and
researchers in the mathematical sciences.

Please register as soon as possible and encourage your students to
participate in this workshop. The workshop web site now includes
