The Canadian Mathematical Society Student Committee (CMS Studc) would like to invite undergraduate mathematics students from across Canada to consider hosting the 2015 edition of the Canadian Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (CUMC) at their institution!

** There is a new bidding process for the conference that will be implemented starting this year. **

Notably, the bidding will no longer happen during the conference, but after, giving first-time attendees a chance to experience the conference before deciding to bid. The bids will also be more structured, with an application form and poster advertising their institution for the next conference location. Lastly, the next hosting institution will ultimately be chosen by Studc, though Canadian math students will be given an opportunity to privately provide their feedback on the bids, which Studc will take into account in making their final decision.

As part of the new bidding process, preference for the 2015 CUMC will be given to locations outside of Central Canada ("Central Canada" is defined to be Ontario and Quebec).

Full details about the bidding process are described in the CUMC Bid Guidelines, available on the Studc website (http://studc.cms.math.ca/cumc.html). Le Comité étudiant de la Société mathématique du Canada (SMC Studc) invite les étudiants en mathématiques au baccalauréat de partout au Canada à considérer la possibilité d'organiser l'édition 2015 du Congrès canadien des étudiants en mathématiques (CCÉM) à leur université!

** Un nouveau processus de mise en candidature pour le congrès sera utilisé à partir de cette année. **

Notamment, la mise en candidature ne se fera plus durant le congrès, mais après, donnant ainsi la chance aux nouveaux participants d'acquérir l'expérience d'un premier congrès avant de décider de soumettre leur candidature. Les candidatures seront plus structurées, avec un formulaire d'application et une affiche pour faire la promotion de leur établissement d'enseignement comme endroit pour le prochain congrès. Finalement, le prochain établissement qui accueillera le congrès sera ultimement choisi par Studc. Les étudiants canadiens en mathématiques auront toutefois l'opportunité de transmettre leurs commentaires sur les candidatures en toute confidentialité. Studc prendra en considération ces commentaires avant de prendre sa décision finale.

Dans le cadre du nouveau processus de mise en candidature, la préférence pour l'édition 2015 du CCÉM sera donnée aux endroits situés à l'extérieur du centre du Canada (le "centre du Canada" est défini comme étant l'Ontario et le Québec).
