The School of Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton University invites applications for a tenure-track / tenured faculty position in Statistics at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor. The start date is open to negotiation, but will be no later than July 1, 2014.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field, and a strong background in mathematical statistics. Candidates are expected to have an active research program, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, and the ability to contribute to the School's educational programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The School is particularly interested in candidates who conduct research in the area of Risk, as linked to a field such as health, the environment, security, or finance. However, the primary and fundamental criterion will be excellence in statistics.
