The School of Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton University
invites
applications for a tenure-track / tenured faculty position in
Statistics at
the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor. The start date is open
to
negotiation, but will be no later than July 1, 2014.
<p>Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field,
and a
strong background in mathematical statistics. Candidates are
expected to
have an active research program, a strong commitment to excellence
in
teaching, and the ability to contribute to the School's
educational
programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

<p>The School is particularly interested in candidates who conduct
research in
the area of Risk, as linked to a field such as health, the
environment,
security, or finance. However, the primary and fundamental
criterion will
be excellence in statistics.
