The School of Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton University invites applications for a permanent instructor position (subject to confirmation of appointment), starting July 1, 2013.

Applicants should have at least an M.Sc. in Mathematics or a related area (Ph.D. preferred), and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. Duties will include teaching a variety of undergraduate courses in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at all levels, and applicants must therefore demonstrate a wide knowledge of undergraduate material.

Duties will also include co-ordination of courses, curriculum development, and the supervision of undergraduate projects. Demonstrated experience and interest in student recruitment and retention, and community outreach will be considered an asset.
