This is a reminder that the DEADLINE for submitting contributions to 
the Joint ICMI/IASE Study on "Statistics education in school 
mathematics. Challenges for teaching and teacher' education" is next OCTOBER 1.

This Study is jointly organised by the IASE (International 
Association for Statistical Education) and ICMI, and it is the 18th 
in the ICMI Study programme.  The Conference of the Study is to be 
held at the ITESM, Monterrey Mexico,  June 30- July 4, 2008, just 
prior to ICME-11.

The submitted papers have to follow the conference aims and topics, 
as described in the Discussion Document.  This Document, details and 
guidelines for preparing papers, sample papers and other information 
is available from the Study web page at
http://www.ugr.es/~icmi/iase_study/

Please disseminate this information widely as appropriate.
