Heli-One is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Senior
Inventory Analyst/Statistician. This is a full-time position based in
Richmond B.C.
Heli-One, a division of CHC Helicopter Corporation, is the world's largest
independent helicopter support company, providing logistics, maintenance
and power-by-the-hour support for 14 different aircraft types operated by
customers around the world. CHC Helicopter Corporation is the world's
largest provider of helicopter services to the global offshore oil and gas
industry, with aircraft operating in more than 30 countries around the
world.
Heli-One is building a brand new 235,000 square-foot facility including
aircraft hangar, workshops and office space, with completion anticipated
Fall 2007. The new facility will be located at the Boundary Bay Airport
in Delta, B.C., approximately 20 kilometres southeast of Vancouver, B.C.,
Canada, host of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Description:
The Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining
proper methodology and modeling that will be applied for scaling (in
quantity) of Heli-One's supporting inventory and planning processes. The
major focus will be in Heli-One's MRO operation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the methodologies and models with parameters to optimize
Heli-One's inventories among the overall supply chain.
- Provide and advise best practice methods for creating and automating the
materials planning process for global parts demand
- Assist in the following processes:
- Develop and maintain algorithms and tools to determine optimum rotable
component levels.
- Develop and implement algorithms and tools to determine and manage
consumable inventory levels.
- Monitor and ensure that changes affecting the inventory are working
properly.
- Develop and suggest solutions for parts planning and execution to be
integrated into the Heli-One IT system
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 5 years experience in senior position in MRO supply chain
- Experience in modeling and integrating inventory management
methodologies in the overall supply chain process
- Good knowledge and experience of statistical methods and tools
- Good knowledge and experience in extracting data from ERP/MRP databases,
and creating specific reports to evaluate the performance of inventory and
efficiency in supply chain.
- Proven track record in creating and optimizing the supply chain
parameters in ERP/MRP system associated with the IT team.
- Project management experiences in either supply chain or IT system
fields.
Desirable:
- Working experience in refurbishment or MRO operations, specifically in
Production or Maintenance Planning
- Aviation spare parts industry knowledge
- Degree or professional designation in mathematics, statistics, or
operations research.
- Experience writing reports and creating and delivering Executive level
reports and presentations
Desirable personal attributes:
- Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality
- Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to
envision a system wide solution
- High working capacity
- Ability to manage and perform in a highly dynamic working environment
