We invite you to attend the CMS-MITACS Joint Conference 2007 
<http://www.cms.math.ca/Events/summer07/> from Friday, June 1 to Sunday, 
June 3. With 20 scientific sessions 
<http://www.cms.math.ca/Events/summer07/sessions_scientific>, eleven 
plenary and prize lectures 
<http://www.cms.math.ca/Events/summer07/schedule_plenary_prize>, and a 
poster session <http://www.cms.math.ca/Events/summer07/sessions_poster>, 
this conference has much to offer.

 

All events will take place at the Delta Hotel and the Winnipeg 
Convention Centre (WCC).

The Welcome Reception is held on Thursday, May 31 at 7:00 PM at the WCC; 
admission to this event is included in the registration fees.

The Banquet takes place on Saturday, June 2. Tickets are available at 
$50 each; the registration fee for students includes one ticket to the 
banquet.

 

Early Bird Registration

To qualify for the discounted Early Bird registration fee, the 
registration form and payment have to be received by the deadline. After 
this date, the registration fees increase by approximately 30%.

Accommodation <http://www.cms.math.ca/Events/summer07/accommodation> -- 
Deadline: April 29

CMS and MITACS have secured discounted rates at the Delta Hotel and the 
Place Louis Riel Hotel. After the deadline, the discounted rates may no 
longer apply after the deadline.

 

Student Subsidies 
<http://www.cms.math.ca/Events/summer07/student_subsidy> - We strongly 
encourage the participation of students at the CMS-MITACS Joint 
Conference. Towards this, we are allocating significant funds to help 
defray the cost of poster preparation, travel and accommodation for 
graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. See the event web site for 
more details.

Le banquet se tiendra le samedi 2 juin. On peut se procurer des billets 
au coût de 50 $ chacun. Les droits d'inscription pour étudiants 
comprennent un billet pour le banquet.

Pour avoir droit au tarif réduit de préinscription, le formulaire 
d'inscription accompagné du paiement doivent nous parvenir au plus tard 
à la date limite. Après cette date, les droits d'inscription seront 
majorés d'environ 30 %.

MITACS et la SMC ont négocié des chambres à tarif réduit aux hôtels 
Delta et Place Louis Riel. Après la date limite de réservation, il se 
pourrait que le tarif réduit ne soit plus offert.

 

Aide financière aux étudiants

encourageons fortement la participation des étudiants à la conférence 
commune de CMS-MITACS. Vers ceci, nous assignons les fonds significatifs 
pour aider à défrayer le coût de préparation d'affiche, de voyage et de 
logement pour les étudiants des cycles supérieurs et les chercheurs 
post-doctoraux.
