    The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of 
Guelph invites applications for a full-time tenure track position to 
start 1 July 2007 or thereafter, at the rank of Assistant Professor in 
Mathematics.  Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in mathematics or a 
related field and evidence of strong research and teaching potential at 
all levels.  The appointment is expected to actively participate in our 
graduate programs emphasizing applied mathematics. Priority will be 
given to analysis or its applications. Salary will be commensurate with 
qualifications and experience.  Candidates should submit, by 1 December 
2006, a curriculum vitae, research statement and teaching statement and 
arrange for three letters of reference, one addressing teaching, to be
