The School of Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton University invites 
applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant 
Professor in Applied Probability, starting January 1, 2007 or as soon as 
possible thereafter.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Probability or a 
related area, and a strong commitment to excellence in research and 
teaching.  The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong, 
externally-funded research program, supervise students, and develop and 
teach undergraduate and graduate courses.  The School is particularly 
interested in candidates who are able to connect with industry and attract 
non-governmental research funding.  More information about the School can

This position is subject to final budgetary approval.  Consideration of 
applications will begin on September 30, 2006 and continue until the
