Tenure-Track Positions in Algebra or Analysis

The University of Windsor invites applications for tenure-track positions
in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, at the rank of Assistant
Professor, commencing July 1, 2006.  These positions are subject to final
budgetary approval.

A successful candidate must have a PhD by the date of appointment, and be
able to contribute in a major way to shaping the Department's future
development.  Additionally, a successful candidate must be dedicated to
excellence in teaching at all levels, and must have a realizable potential
to develop a strong research program in Algebra or Analysis is required.

The research areas within the Department include Algebra, Analysis,
Applied Mathematics, Optimization, Probability and Statistics.  There are
excellent opportunities for collaboration with researchers in Economics,
Engineering, Business Administration and Computer Science.  The Department
offers a PhD degree in Statistics, Masters Degrees in Mathematics and
Statistics, as well as Bachelors degrees in Mathematics, Mathematics and
Statistics, and Mathematics and Computer Science and a multidisciplinary
Bachelor of Operational Research program.

The Department has a strong tradition of excellence in teaching at all
levels, and several of our faculty members have received distinguished

statement of citizenship/immigration status; a detailed curriculum vitae;
a statement of teaching philosophy (with evidence of teaching
effectiveness); a statement outlining a research program (with some
indication of a realistic expectation of success); graduate transcripts
(if available; and three current letters of reference forwarded by the
