LECTURER POSITION - search Extended

The Department of Mathematics is seeking to appoint one full-time lecturer
to support its instructional program at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby
and Surrey Campuses starting January 2006, or later.  Duties include
teaching, undergraduate advising, coordinating departmental workshops,
course development, assisting in curriculum development and the
introduction of technology, high school liaison and student recruitment.

Applicants should have at least a master's degree in mathematics or
applied mathematics, have their primary interest in teaching mathematics
at the undergraduate level, and have demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Ability to teach a broad range of courses may be an advantage.

Simon Fraser provides one paid semester free of teaching duties every nine
semesters to allow a chance for professional development.  In addition,
lecturers are eligible for a year of paid study leave after six years of
successful employment.
