Please find attached ads for two positions in Mathematics
at the University of Lethbridge. One is a one-year leave
replacement position and the other is for a (continuing)
tutorial/lab assistant position.

Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of
Lethbridge invites applications for a one year term position in
Mathematics at the rank of Assistant Professor level to begin 1 July 2005,
subject to budgetary approval. Candidates in all areas of
of mathematics will be considered.
A Ph.D. at or near completion is required. The University aspires to
hire individuals who have demonstrated considerable potential for excellence
in teaching, research and scholarship. New Faculty are eligible for funding
in support of research and scholarly activities.
Located in southern Alberta, near the Rocky Mountains, Lethbridge offers a

continuing Academic Assistant position (probationary)
beginning 1 July 2005, subject to budgetary approval.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in mathematics
or statistics, but a Master's degree is preferred.
Teaching experience in mathematics and statistics is highly desirable.
Some computer science experience is an asset.
Responsibilities include the preparation, supervision and offering of
tutorial instruction associated with courses given by the department,
but other instructional duties may also be assigned.
