   BIOINFORMATICS --  FACULTY OF PURE AND APPLIED SCIENCE, YORK UNIVERSITY

   The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for
   a tenure stream appointment at the Assistant Professor level in the
   area of Bioinformatics to commence July 1, 2004.

   We are searching for an outstanding bioinformaticist who will help us
   launch an innovative program that will involve biologists and computer
   scientists as well as mathematicians and statisticians. The successful
   candidate will have a PhD, a proven record of research excellence, and
   promise of superior teaching ability. The successful candidate will be
   expected to develop a strong, externally-funded research program and
   to contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in
   an interdisciplinary context.

   All positions at York University are subject to budgetary approval.
