The Canadian Mathematical Society is pleased to announce that Melania 
Alvarez (UBC and PIMS), is the recipient  of the 2012 Adrien Pouliot 
Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to mathematics 
education in Canada.  Melania will receive the award and deliver a prize 
lecture at the CMS Winter Meeting in Montreal.

La Société mathématique du Canada a le plaisir d'annoncer que Melania 
Alvarez (UBC et PIMS), est le lauréate 2012 du prix Adrien Pouliot pour 
sa contribution exceptionnelle à l'enseignement des mathématiques du 
Canada. Malgorzata recevra son prix et donnera une allocution lors de la 
réunion d'hiver 2012 de la SMC, à Montréal.
