The Canadian Mathematical Society is pleased to announce that Melania Alvarez (UBC and PIMS), is the recipient  of the 2012 Adrien Pouliot Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to mathematics education in Canada.  Melania will receive the award and deliver a prize lecture at the CMS Winter Meeting in Montreal.
