Science, Technology and Health requires a College Professor to teach
undergraduate courses in Mathematics and Statistics. The Department of
Mathematics and Statistics offers first and second-year university courses
in Mathematics and Statistics as well as service courses for the Bachelor
of Business Administration program, a Bachelor of Computer Information
Systems program and for six two-year technology diploma programs.
Required qualifications include a Master's Degree in Mathematics,
Statistics or a closely related field. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or
Statistics is preferred. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional
teaching record with demonstrated learner-centred teaching philosophy.
An active profile in scholarship, research and creative activity will be
considered an asset. Successful applicants will be an integral part of
the team that will help Okanagan College realize the promise of a
world-class college.
This is a full-time continuing appointment effective August 5, 2008.
Salary and working conditions are governed by the Okanagan College Faculty
Association Collective Agreement. Placement on the salary scale is
dependent upon qualifications and experience.
