5 month Research Assistantship at the NATO Research Centre, La Spezia, Italy

 

The Command and Operational Support department of the NATO Research Centre
is looking to hire a research consultant for the period 1 Aug 07 to 23 Dec
07 to work on operational research in port and harbour protection.

 

The candidate would work under the supervision of a scientist. Requirements
for this position include a master degree and some practical experience in
mathematical modeling. Experience in Maritime & Port Security and Simulation
methods are desirable.  A NATO confidential security clearance will be
required.

 

The NATO Research Centre conducts world class maritime research in support
of NATO's operational and transformation requirements. The Command and
Operational Support department develops quantitative assessment techniques
for operational analysis of NATO exercises, develops decision aids, and
assesses the effectiveness of future maritime systems and concepts. 

 

The salary is 4000 Euros/month. Interested candidates should send their
