    As one who is foreign-born in a unilingual country, I really love

    Using the suggested&nbsp; “Please see the English version below” seems
    really formal for<br>
    the messages we usually receive from the CMS. It sounds like we're
    getting a request <br>
    for money from Revenue Canada. "The English follows", which I
    believe is what is being used<br>
    now, can also be interpreted as "follows in another email", so
    something a little less formal<br>
    but nonetheless accurate is desired.<br>

    One possibility: "English following French" in parentheses. I think
    the participle implies continuity<br>
    within the email. Another: "English below after French".&nbsp; These are
    accurate but, perhaps,<br>
    a bit too abrupt.<br>

                        The Canadian Mathematical Society is pleased to
                        announce the 2019 Endowment Grants Competition
                        to fund projects that contribute to the broader
                        good of the mathematical community. The
                        Endowment Grants Committee (EGC) administers the
                        distribution of the grants and adjudicates
                        proposals for projects.<br>
                        <br>
                        Proposals must address the goal and statement of
                        purpose of the Canadian Mathematical Society: to
                        support the promotion and advancement of the
                        discovery, learning, and application of
                        mathematics.<br>
                        <br>
                        An applicant may be involved in only one
                        proposal per competition as a principal
                        applicant. Proposals must come from CMS members,
                        or, if joint, at least one principal applicant
                        must be a CMS member. The EGC will consider
                        funding one or multi-year proposals to a maximum
                        of $2,500. The EGC tends to favour proposals
                        where CMS funds can be leveraged or where
                        applicants have no other natural funding to
                        which they can apply.<br>
                        <br>
                        <b>Proposals must be received no later than
                          September 30, 2019.</b> Successful applicants
                        will be informed in December 2019 and grants
                        will be awarded in January 2020. The application
