The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is pleased to announce
the members of Math Team Canada 2019. The Team will compete in
the 60th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Bath,
United Kingdom, July 15-22, 2019.<br>

The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the world
championship high school mathematics competition. The IMO began
in 1959 in Romania with seven participating countries. Math Team
Canada expects to compete against the world’s best students from
over 100 countries in the 60th IMO. Canada has earned 32 gold,
56 silver, and 88 bronze medals, as well as 19 honourable
mentions since first competing in 1981.<br>

L'Olympiade internationale de mathématiques (OIM) est le
championnat mondial de mathématiques pour les élèves du
secondaire. Elle s’est tenue pour la première fois en 1959, en
Roumanie, et comptait sept pays participants. Cette année, à la
60e OIM, l’Équipe Math Canada se mesurera aux meilleurs élèves de
plus de 100 pays. Depuis 1981, les élèves canadiens ont remporté
un total de 32 médailles d'or, 56 d'argent, 88 de bronze et 19
mentions honorables.<br>
