We are seeking candidates with a proven track record in
research, who can teach at undergraduate and graduate levels,
and who have the desire and ability to supervise graduate

areas of mathematics are encouraged to apply. The department
is particularly interested in candidates whose expertise
supplements our existing strengths in analysis and applied
mathematics in a broad sense. This includes (but is not
limited to) operator algebras, ergodic theory and
topological dynamics, random walks on groups and graphs,
infinite-dimensional groups of transformations, quantum
information, partial and functional differential equations,
numerical analysis, and scientific computing. The ability of
