APPEL À CANDIDATURES <br>
PRIX DE MATHÉMATIQUES ANDRÉ-AISENSTADT<br>

<b>Montréal, le 28 octobre 2015</b> - Le Centre de recherches
mathématiques (CRM) lance un nouvel appel à candidatures pour le
prix de mathématiques André-Aisenstadt visant à reconnaître le
talent de jeunes mathématiciens canadiens. Ce prix, comprenant une
bourse en argent ainsi qu’une médaille, souligne des résultats
exceptionnels de recherche réalisés par un jeune mathématicien ou
mathématicienne canadien.<br>
Le lauréat est choisi par le Comité scientifique international du
CRM. Le prix est normalement accordé annuellement bien qu’il puisse
survenir une année où l’on décide de ne pas l’attribuer. Les
candidats doivent être citoyens canadiens ou résidents permanents du
Canada ou avoir un poste universitaire au Canada menant à la
permanence, et avoir terminé leur doctorat depuis sept ans ou moins.
Les candidats ayant obtenu leur doctorat en 2008 ou après sont
éligibles pour le Prix André-Aisenstadt de 2016. Le lauréat est
invité à prononcer une conférence au CRM et à présenter un résumé de
ses travaux pour publication dans le Bulletin du CRM.<br>

La date limite pour soumettre une candidature est le 1er mars 2016.
Les candidatures doivent être parrainées par au moins deux personnes
et présentées au Directeur du CRM. Les dossiers devront inclure les
documents suivants : <br>

• un curriculum vitae,<br>
• une liste des publications,<br>
• une lettre justificative,<br>
• au plus quatre tirés à part,<br>
• un maximum de quatre lettres de référence.<br>
<br>
À moins qu’elles soient retirées, les candidatures non retenues sont
automatiquement remises en concours<br>
durant les deux années suivantes, à condition qu'elles respectent
les critères d'admissibilité. Des mises à jour des dossiers peuvent
être effectuées.<br>

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS <br>
ANDRÉ-AISENSTADT MATHEMATICS PRIZE <br>

<b>Montreal, October 28, 2015</b> - The Centre de recherches
mathématiques (CRM) solicits nominations for the André Aisenstadt
Mathematics Prize, awarded to recognize talented young Canadian
mathematicians. This Prize celebrates outstanding research
achievement by a young Canadian mathematician and consists of a
monetary award and a medal.<br>
The recipient is chosen by the CRM’s International Scientific
Advisory Committee. The prize is generally awarded yearly, although
in a given year the decision may be made not to award it. Candidates
must be no more than seven years from their Ph.D., and be either
Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, or hold a
tenure-track academic position in Canada. Candidates having their
PhD degree conferred in 2008 or later will be eligible for the 2016
André Aisenstadt Prize. The recipient is invited to deliver a
lecture at the CRM and to write a brief article on his or her work
for publication in the Bulletin of the CRM.<br>

The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2016. The nominations
should be submitted to the Director of the CRM, by at least two
sponsors who are responsible for providing the following
information: <br>

• a curriculum vitae,<br>
• a list of publications,<br>
• a cover letter explaining the basis of the nomination,<br>
• up to four reprints,<br>
• and a maximum of four letters of support.<br>
<br>
Unselected nominations remain active for two further years if not
withdrawn and provided they still meet the Prize eligibility
criteria. The nominations can be updated if desired.<br>
Since its creation in 1991, the André-Aisensadt Prize has been
