for one tenure-track appointment in Pure or Applied Mathematics at
the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Mathematics and
Statistics at York University to commence July 1, 2016.
Applications in all areas of pure and applied mathematics will be
considered. The successful candidate must have a PhD in
Mathematics, a proven record of independent research excellence,
and evidence of potential for superior teaching. The successful
candidate will be expected to develop an excellent and innovative
research program, secure and maintain external peer-reviewed
research funding, and contribute to teaching at the undergraduate
and graduate levels, as well as to graduate student supervision.
Successful candidates must be suitable for prompt appointment to
the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Applications must be received by
