<p style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif">The Engage and
Interaction grants support industry-academic research
collaborations. Engage provides funding for first-time
partnerships between a university researcher and an industry
partner - that is, projects where the researcher and his
industry partner have never formally worked together in the
past. Interaction underwrites travel costs so a researcher can
visit targeted companies (Canada only) to discuss possible
research collaborations. </p>
<p style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"> Engage and
Interaction grants will appeal to Partners in the analytics,
modelling and big data industry who want to forge new
relationships with Ryerson researchers. Unlike some comparable
funding programs (including NSERC's well-established
Collaborative R&D grant program), no cash contribution is
required from the industry partner.</p>
<p style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif">As an attendee,
you will have the opportunity to connect with Ryerson's academic
researchers and learn more about funding opportunities from
NSERC.</p>
