Nous avons le plaisir de vous informer que la revue <I>Accromath</I>, produite conjointement par l’Institut des sciences mathématiques (ISM) et le Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM), est lauréate du prix Anatole-Decerf 2012. Attribué tous les deux ans par la Société mathématique de France, ce prix prestigieux récompense des travaux d’enseignement ou de vulgarisation de la pédagogie des mathématiques. C’est la première fois que ce prix est décerné à une équipe travaillant hors de France.<BR>

En enrichissant le bagage mathématique des enseignantes et des enseignants, <I>Accromath</I> les aide à communiquer à leurs élèves une réalité plus vivante, plus humaine, plus belle et plus riche de ce que sont les mathématiques, en faisant comprendre comment les mathématiques sont au centre des recherches et des découvertes les plus passionnantes du 21e siècle. Les membres du jury pour le prix Anatole-Decerf ont souligné la haute qualité scientifique et pédagogique de la revue.<BR>

Mme France Caron a reçu le prix au nom de l’équipe éditoriale de la revue lors d’une cérémonie tenue à l’Institut Henri-Poincaré le 15 juin dernier. We are delighted to inform you that <I>Accromath</I>, a magazine co-produced by the Institut des sciences mathématiques (ISM) and the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM), has won the 2012 Anatole Decerf Prize. Awarded every two years by the Société mathématique de France (SMF), this prestigious prize rewards teaching or popularization works in math education. It is the first time that this prize has been awarded outside of France.<BR>

By enriching teachers’ mathematical baggage, <I>Accromath</I> helps them transmit to their students a more lively, human, beautiful and rich reality of mathematics, illustrating how they play a crucial role in some of the most exciting research and discoveries of the 21st century. The members of the jury for the Anatole Decerf prize highlighted the high scientific and educational quality of the magazine.<BR>

Professor France Caron received the Prize on behalf of the editorial board of the magazine at a ceremony held at the Henri Poincaré Institute on June 15.
