very please to share with you the news that </span><st1:stockticker><span

style="font-family:Arial"> has lowered regular membership fees
for individuals in 2012 and introduced new low cost membership
categories. Instead of a traditional nominal increase above
last year’s fees, the </span><st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family:Arial">CMS</span></st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family: Arial"> is actually setting 2012 fees
below those for 2011. At the same time, the low-cost fees for
student and retired or unemployed members have not been
increased. The new membership fee structure is posted at: <a

lower cost membership fees were largely made possible by

style="font-family:Arial"> Notes (for which a nominally priced
print subscription for members will continue to be
available). The digital environment demands that </span><st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family:Arial">CMS</span></st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family: Arial"> move away from traditional print
publishing and adopt more dynamic and engaging ways to
communicate with members. The move to electronic </span><st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family:Arial">CMS</span></st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family: Arial"> Notes delivery is the first
step. <o:p></o:p></span></small></p>

<p class="msonospacing"><small><span style="font-family:Arial">The
introduction of new low cost membership categories is another
way that </span><st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family:Arial">CMS</span></st1:stockticker><span
style="font-family: Arial"> is making membership more
accessible and affordable. The new categories will appeal to
younger mathematicians and those that have simply never joined
the </span><st1:stockticker><span style="font-family:Arial">CMS</span></st1:stockticker><span

augmenter non plus les droits réduits pour membres étudiants,

électronique oblige la SMC à s’éloigner du mode de publication
traditionnel et à adopter des façons plus dynamiques et
interactives de communiquer avec ses membres. La conversion à la
