Il nous fait plaisir d'annoncer deux ateliers sur l<b>'intégration de la
technologie dans l'enseignement post-secondaire aux étudiants en
mathématiques</b>,qui auront lieu le vendredi 1er octobre 2010 au
<i>Centre de recherches mathématiques</i> (CRM) de Montréal (en français)
et le vendredi 29 octobre 2010 au <i>Fields Institute for Research in
Mathematical Sciences </i>de Toronto (en anglais). <br><br>
Les ateliers visent principalement les mathématiciens travaillant dans
les départements de mathématiques, incluant les étudiants gradués des 2e
et 3e cycles qui enseignent des cours de mathématiques sous-gradués.Les
éducateurs de mathématiques provenant d'autres départements et
institutions, tels que les cégeps, sont invités à participer à l'atelier
pour y enrichir les discussions. Le programme des ateliers comporte une
présentation plénière de<b> <i>Bernard Hodgson</i></b> (U Laval), notre
rapport sur un sondage Canadien qui a eu lieu au printemps 2009 au sujet
de l'intégration de logiciel de calcul formel dans l'enseignement
post-secondaire des mathématiques et trois sessions de discussion,
soient: <br><br>
1) Repenser le curriculum des programmes de mathématiques de premier
cycle: quel y est le rôle de la technologie? <b><i>Walter
Whiteley</i></b> (York University) & <b><i>Franco Saliola</i></b>
(UQAM) avec <b><i>Jane Heffernan</i></b> (York University) <br><br>
2) Intégrer un cours de programmation et/ou utilisation de logiciel de
calcul formel: défis et impact sur le curriculum. <b><i>Yvan
St-Aubin</i></b> (Université de Montréal) & <b><i>Laurent
Delisle</i></b> (Université de Montréal) avec <b><i>Janse Van

We are pleased to announce two workshops regarding '<b>Technology
Integration in Teaching Undergraduate Mathematics Students</b>' that will
take place at the <i>Centre de recherche mathématique</i> (Montreal) on
October 1, 2010 (in French) and at the <i>Fields Institute for Research
in Mathematical Sciences </i>(Toronto) on October 29, 2010 (in English).
<br><br>
These workshops are mainly aimed at mathematicians working in departments
of mathematics, including graduate students who are teaching
undergraduate courses. Mathematics educators from other departments and
types of institutions are also invited to attend and enrich the
discussions. The program includes a keynote presentation by <b><i>Bernard
Hodgson </i></b>(U Laval), our report on the national online survey about
Computer Algebra Systems integration in Canadian mathematics teaching
that took place in Spring 2009, and the following three discussion
sessions: <br><br>
1) Rethinking the undergraduate mathematics curriculum - what role does
