lang="fr-FR">Le Département de mathématiques de l'Université du
Québec à Montréal sollicite des candidatures pour un poste de
professeur menant à la permanence et débutant le premier
décembre 2010. L'expertise de recherche des candidates devrait
être en statistique appliquée, préférablement avec une forte
composante computationelle. Les candidates doivent détenir un
doctorat en statistique, en biostatistique ou en mathématiques
(avec maîtrise en statistique) et doivent démontrer une
excellence en enseignement et en recherche. Ils doivent aussi
démontrer une maîtrise du français parlé et écrit.</span></p>

Tenure-stream position in Applied Statistics</font></p>
<p class="western" lang="en-US">The Mathematics Department of the
Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), invites applications for a
tenure-stream appointment (normally, but not strictly) at the rank
of Assistant Professor with an expected start date of December 1,
2010. Candidates' research expertise should be in Applied
Statistics, preferably with a strong computational component.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in statistics, in biostatistics, or
in mathematics (with a Master’s degree in statistics) and must
show evidence of excellence in teaching and research. They should
also have a working knowledge of French, both written and spoken.</p>
<p class="western" lang="en-US">To ensure full consideration,
complete applications including a curriculum vitae in French,
copies of recent publications, and three letters of reference
(sent directly by the referees) should be received by October 8,
2010. Applications received after this date may be considered as
