</SPAN></FONT><FONT FACE="Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial"><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'>The Université du Québec à Montréal invites applications for a Tier II Canada Research Chair position in the Department of Mathematics in geometry and topology of manifolds (the position is conditional to a favorable decision from the Canada Research Chairs program). <BR>

In accordance with the Canada research Chairs program (www.chairs-chaires.gc.ca), Tier 2 chairs are awarded to researchers who completed their Ph.D. less than 10 years ago and are recognized to be leading young researchers.</SPAN></FONT><SPAN STYLE='font-size:11pt'><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> <BR>

The chairholder will be a member of the inter-university geometry and topology research group, CIRGET (www.cirget.uqam.ca), and shall receive a salary bonus, a research grant and a reduced teaching load for a period of five years.<BR>
