research is a rapidly evolving enterprise and thus there is often a need to
communicate new, perhaps incomplete ideas and/or examples of innovative and
non-traditional uses of HPC, in a more timely way than is allowed by a rigorous
referee process. To address this need, HPCS 2005 will be instituting the
concept of "Short Communications" at this year's symposium.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

refereed and will appear on the conference website.<span
