------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Department of Computer Science at Western University is pleased to announce the international conference on Matrices and Polynomials in Computer Algebra: Algorithms and Software, scheduled from July 22 to July 24, 2024. This conference aims to unite researchers, practitioners, and academics to explore recent advancements and innovations in computer algebra focusing on matrices and polynomials.

Celebrating Professor Laureano González-Vega's 60th Birthday: This conference will also commemorate the 60th birthday of Professor Laureano González-Vega, whose contributions to the field are very well-known.

LALO 60 will be held on July 22-24, 2024 in London, Ontario, Canada.

Topics
------

The topics of interest for the conference include:

- Polynomial root isolation
- Matrix computations and algorithms
- Symbolic and numerical methods for polynomial and matrix problems
- Applications of matrices and polynomials in computer algebra
- Software systems and tools for matrices and polynomials
- Computational real algebraic geometry

Invited Speakers
----------------

We are grateful to the following colleagues who have accepted to deliver keynote presentations at LALO 60:

Submission Guidelines
---------------------

Authors are encouraged to submit an extended abstract of 4-8 pages related to matrices and polynomials in computer algebra. Papers should not duplicate work published or submitted for consideration elsewhere. For their submissions, we encourage authors to consider theLaTeX style of the Maple Transactions, which is available at: https://mapletransactions.org/index.php/maple/about/submissions

All submissions will undergo a selection process by the program committee. Submissions will be handled through EasyChair at:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lalo60

Publications
------------

Authors of accepted extended abstracts will be invited to submit a paper for a Special Issue of the open-access journal "Maple Transactions."

Important Dates
---------------
