Dear members of the Canadian Mathematical Society,

The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is announcing changes to its 
Winter 2024 Meeting initially scheduled to take place in Vancouver, BC. 
Due to unforeseen circumstances, *the event will now be held in 
Richmond, BC,* a unique island city neighbouring Vancouver, and the 
dates have been rescheduled to *November 29-December 2, 2024.*

The alteration in plans is necessitated by an unexpected scheduling 
conflict with the Taylor Swift concert, a momentous event drawing 
significant attention and occupancy in the Vancouver area during the 
initially proposed dates for the CMS Winter Meeting.

The Society remains dedicated to providing a top-tier gathering for 
mathematical enthusiasts, scholars, and industry professionals alike. 
The new venue in Richmond, BC, continues to offer an exceptional 
environment for the exchange of ideas, networking, and the exploration 
of cutting-edge mathematical research. It is also ideally located 
minutes away from Vancouver.

The CMS encourages all attendees and interested parties to adjust their 
calendars accordingly to accommodate this change. We appreciate the 
understanding and cooperation of our members, participants, and partners 
as we navigate this unexpected change and look forward to a successful 
and fulfilling Winter 2024 Meeting in the vibrant city of Richmond, BC.

Colombie-Britannique. En raison de circonstances imprévues, *l'événement 
se tiendra désormais à Richmond, en Colombie-Britannique*, une ville 
unique, côtière, et voisine de Vancouver, et les dates ont été 
reportées : la réunion aura lieu *du 29 novembre au 2 décembre 2024*.

Cette modification des plans est imposée par un conflit d'horaire 
inattendu avec le concert de Taylor Swift, un événement important qui
