*Tenure-Track Position, E. D. Tymchatyn Chair in Topology*

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Arts and 
Science at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a 
tenure-track position, E.D. Tymchatyn Chair in Topology. The initial 
hire is expected to be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level 
effective January 1, 2023. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in 
Mathematics and experience commensurate with the Associate Professor 
level. The incumbent will hold the E.D. Tymchatyn Chair title for the 
duration of five years and will continue as a regular faculty member 
afterward.

The Department is seeking candidates with a strong record of academic 
accomplishments in Topology and the promise of further research 
productivity. Special attention will be given to candidates whose 
research is centered on continuum theory and the application of 
continuum theoretic methods to other areas of research.  The purpose of 
the E.D. Tymchatyn Chair in Topology is to expand the topology research 
capacity at the University of Saskatchewan. The chair will be positioned 
to develop a network of expertise that will enrich opportunities for 
collaboration within the discipline as well as with interdisciplinary 
groups of scientists. The successful candidate should also have a record 
of effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and 
demonstrate promise for effective graduate supervision. For more

A doctoral degree in Mathematics and professional experience 
commensurate with the Associate Professor level.

*_Salary Bands (July 1, 2022 – July 30, 2023):_*

Associate Professor $120,099 (floor) to $140,253 (CDI ceiling)
