CRM-SIMONS Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships

As part of its partnership with the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) and in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Simons Foundation has created the Simons Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships, to provide additional funding to institutes to support one-year postdoctoral positions in the mathematical sciences. The CRM has been allocated three fellowship positions to start in September 2022.

The CRM-SIMONS Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships are twelve-month appointments and are awarded to exceptional young researchers who have recently obtained or expect to obtain a PhD in the mathematical sciences. To be considered, candidates must have obtained their PhD after August 30th, 2018. The fellowship offers an annual stipend of $70,000 CAD for one year. This is a research fellowship allowing the recipient to devote most of his or her time to research under the supervision of a professor from one of the CRM member universities.

The recipients will be chosen by the CRM’s International Scientific Advisory Committee.

The CRM is proud to subscribe to the Université de Montréal's policy on adapting to cultural diversity and is committed to taking into account the diversity and the systemic and individual barriers to access (for example, related to ethnic origin, gender, disability) when selecting visiting researchers.

Nouvelle initiative de bourses Postdoctorales CRM-SIMONS

Dans le cadre de son partenariat avec le Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) et en réponse à la crise du COVID-19, la Fondation Simons a créé le Simons Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships, afin de fournir un financement supplémentaire aux instituts pour soutenir des chercheurs postdoctoraux travaillant dans les sciences mathématiques. Ces postes uniques seront d’une durée d’un an. Le CRM s'est vu attribuer trois postes débutant en septembre 2022.

Les bourses de la Nouvelle initiative de bourses postdoctorale CRM-SIMONS seront d’une durée fixe de 12 mois et elles seront attribuées à de jeunes chercheurs exceptionnels qui ont obtenu ou prévoient obtenir un doctorat en sciences mathématiques. Pour être pris en considération, les candidats doivent avoir obtenu leur doctorat après le 30 août 2018. Chaque bourse offre une allocation annuelle de 70 000$ CAN. Il s'agit d'une bourse de recherche permettant au bénéficiaire de consacrer la majeure partie de son temps à la recherche sous la supervision d'un professeur d'une des universités membres du CRM.

Les récipiendaires seront choisis par le Comité scientifique international du CRM.

Le CRM est fier de souscrire à la politique sur l'adaptation à la diversité culturelle de l'Université de Montréal et s'engage à prendre en compte la diversité et les barrières systémiques et individuelles à l'accès (par exemple, liées à l'origine ethnique, au genre, à un handicap) lors de la sélection des chercheurs invités.
