*CRM Summer school on multiphysics solvers, ONLINE, May-June 2021*

The Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) and Université Laval are 
pleased to announce the 2021 CRM Summer School "Solving large systems 
efficiently in multiphysics numerical simulations", which will take 
place ONLINE from May 31 to June 10, 2021. The goal of this summer 
school is to introduce fundamental solver techniques for dealing with 
large-scale coupled problems in numerical simulations.  Participants 
will be expected to have a working understanding of linear algebra, 
differential equations (ordinary and partial) and basic Fourier 
analysis, roughly at the undergraduate level. The theoretical portion 
will consist of the following three mini-courses, which will be 
accompanied by exercise sessions:

- *Stationary Methods and Multiphysics*
   Instructors: Hamdi Tchelepi (Stanford) and Felix Kwok (Laval)

- *Domain Decomposition Methods*
   Instructor: Victorita Dolean (Côte d'Azur and Strathclyde)

-*Multigrid Method**s*
   Instructor: Scott MacLachlan (Memorial University of Newfoundland)

In addition, there will be four seminar talks on advanced techniques and 
applications by the following invited speakers:

**- Louis Poirel (Michelin)**
**- Carmen Rodrigo (University of Zaragoza)**
**- Julien Salomon (Sorbonne Université)*

All lectures will be given in English. The summer school is free of 
charge, but prior registration is required.  To register and to find
