Dear Collegues,

It's a pretty good bet that your professional life has been changed by
the coronavirus pandemic. For most of us, our contribution to fighting
the virus just a matter of cancelled conferences and an
in-at-the-deep-end introduction to online teaching methodologies.

But we know that some of you are working more directly to end the
outbreak.  Maybe you're doing mathematical modeling, studying genes,
working with industry to bring protective equipment into production, or
analyzing epidemiological data. If you're applying mathematics to the
anti-coronavirus effort, and can spare a little time to write a brief
description or a note on methodology, or a preliminary description of
tentative results for us - anywhere from a paragraph to a few page -
we'd like to hear from you, and will fast-track publication to keep it
timely.

Chère et cher collègues,

Il y a fort à parier que votre vie professionnelle a été transformée par
la pandémie de COVID-19. La plupart d’entre nous font notre part en
combattant le virus en annulant notre participation à des conférences et
en nous prêtant aux exigences de l’enseignement en ligne et ses tracas.

Mais certain.e.s parmi vous travaillent de façon plus directe à mettre
fin à la pandémie. Vous travaillez peut-être sur la modélisation
mathématique, étudiez les gènes, collaborez avec l’industrie pour
produire l’équipement de protection, ou bien analysez les données
épidémiologiques. Si, d’une manière ou d’une autre, vous appliquez les
mathématiques à vos efforts contre le coronavirus, et il vous reste
toujours le temps d’écrire une brève description de votre projet, ou une
note sur votre méthodologie, ou bien une description des résultats
préliminaires, nous aimerions publier vos observations et partager vos
réflexions avec la communauté. Cela pourrait être un simple paragraphe
ou un texte de quelques pages. Nous donnerons priorité à la publication
de votre texte pour qu’il soit diffusé de manière opportune.
