 Dear Fellow Student,

The December meeting of the CMS (Dec 6-9 at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto,
Ontario) is quickly approaching. We hope that you will join us and partake
in the math, discussions, and mini-courses on offer!

We invite you to submit a poster: present a topic of your choice on
Saturday, December 7th before a panel of judges. Monetary prizes are
awarded at the banquet on Sunday, for the best three poster presenters.

Would you prefer to give a talk? Our team currently accepts abstract
submissions for the Student Talks session: share your research with a
general mathematical audience!

Take advantage of the early-bird rate and register before October 31st. It
pays to be a CMS Member: besides access to CMS publications and national
math news, CMS members enjoy lower registration fees at the meeting.

SHOULD YOU NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, PLEASE APPLY FOR TRAVEL FUNDING
BEFORE OCTOBER 15. You MUST be a CMS student member to qualify. All details

Also on offer will be a student minicourse and Evening Social: more details

On Saturday, December 7th, the CMS invites you to attend the LGBTQ+
Lunchtime Discussion: a space to share stories, pass on ideas and build an
inclusive community. Opening remarks by the CMS Executive Director Termeh
Kousha and by Anthony Bonato. Anonymous questions can be submitted. Snacks
and refreshments provided.

We thank the University of Toronto, which is providing funding for their
graduate, undergraduate, postdoc, teaching stream and emeritus faculty to
attend the meeting. If you attend the U of T in this capacity, check the
box during registration that you'll take advantage of this offer, fill out
a claim form upon arriving at the conference, and get reimbursed for your
registration fee by the CMS! (This funding does not apply to mini courses.)

ON) arrive rapidement. Nous espérons que vous pouvez nous joindre afin de

préférentiel pour les frais d'inscriptions. Un rabais supplémentaire est
offert aux étudiant.e.s membres de la SMC.

Le samedi 7 septembre, la SMC vous invite au Dîner-causerie LGBTQ+. Il
s'agit d'un espace pour partager des histoires, des idées, et bâtir une
communauté inclusive. Les discours d'ouverture seront prononcés par Termeh
Kousha, directrice générale de la SMC, et Anthony Bonato. Des questions
anonymes peuvent être soumises. Des collations seront fournies.

Nous remercions l’Université de Toronto qui fournit des fonds de voyage aux
étudiantes et étudiants des premier, deuxième et troisième cycles, ainsi
qu’aux chercheuses et chercheurs postdoctoraux et aux membres de la faculté
pour assister à la réunion. Si vous faites partie de l’un de ces groupes et
vous aimeriez profiter de ces fonds, veuillez cocher la boite lors de
l’inscription. Un formulaire de demande vous sera remis dans la trousse
d’inscription que vous pouvez remplir pour obtenir un remboursement pour
les frais d’inscription par la SMC. (Veuillez noter que ce financement
n'est pas disponible pour les mini-cours.)
