The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) is pleased to announce that
Professor Jacob Tsimerman (Toronto) named the recipient of the 2019
Coxeter-James Prize.  Professor Tsimerman will receive the award during
the CMS Winter Meeting in Toronto, ON December 7-10, 2019.

The Coxeter-James Prize was inaugurated in 1978 to recognize young
mathematicians who have made outstanding contributions to mathematical
research.  The award is named for two former CMS presidents, Donald
Coxeter, who is recognized as one of the world's best geometers, and
Ralph Duncan James, who was a great contributor to mathematical
development in Canada.

contribution à la recherche mathématique. Ce prix a été nommé en
l’honneur de deux anciens présidents de la SMC, soit Donald Coxeter,
reconnu comme l’un des meilleurs géomètres du monde, et Ralph Duncan
James, qui a grandement contribué à l’essor des mathématiques au Canada.
