Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Université Laval has one postdoctoral position fellowship available, with a flexible starting date of September 1st, 2019, offered in collaboration with the Centre de recherches mathématiques (www.crm.umontreal.ca<http://www.crm.umontreal.ca> ).

The postdoctoral fellowship will be awarded to a promising researcher who has obtained a Ph. D. in the mathematics or statistics after May 1st, 2015, and before the start of the fellowship. The fellowship offers an annual stipend of $40,000 CDN for one year, and is renewable for a second year. This is a research fellowship allowing the recipient to devote most of his or her time to research under the supervision of one or more professors from the Department, who will contribute financially to the fellowship. There are no required teaching duties linked to this postdoctoral fellowship and it is open to candidates of any nationality.

Applications are welcome in all fields of research in which the Department is actively involved. Applicants are strongly encouraged to identify the researchers with whom they would like to work, and to contact them prior to submitting their application.

Le Département de mathématiques et de statistique de l'Université Laval offre une bourse postdoctorale dans le cadre d'un programme conjoint avec le Centre de recherches mathématiques (www.crm.umontreal.ca<http://www.crm.umontreal.ca/>). À titre indicatif, la date de début du stage postdoctoral pourrait être le 1er septembre 2019.

La bourse postdoctorale sera octroyée à un chercheur prometteur ayant obtenu son Ph. D. en mathématiques ou en statistique après le 1er mai 2015, et avant le début du stage postdoctoral. La bourse offre une rémunération de 40 000$ CAN pour un an, renouvelable pour une deuxième année. Cette bourse de recherche permettra à son bénéficiaire de consacrer la majeure partie de son temps à ses travaux de recherche sous la supervision d'un ou de plus d'un professeur du Département, qui contribuera financièrement à la bourse. Il n'y a pas de tâche d'enseignement liée à cette bourse, qui est ouverte aux candidats de toute nationalité.
