PROFESSEURE LOUISE POIRIER
SE JOINT À L’ÉQUIPE DE DIRECTION DU CRM

*Montréal, 13 septembre 2018.*- Dans son dernier budget le Gouvernement 
du Québec a mandaté le CRM pour qu'il développe en collaboration avec le 
CIRANO une initiative nationale pour accroitre la numératie. Un budget 
d’un million de dollars a été accordé à cette fin.

Dans ce contexte, je suis heureux d'annoncer que la Professeure Louise 
Poirier de la Faculté des Sciences de l'Éducation de l'Université de 
Montréal a été nommée par le Conseil du CRM au poste de Directrice 
adjointe - projet sur la numératie pour une période de deux ans qui a 
débuté le 1er septembre dernier.

La Professeure Poirier est la doyenne sortante de sa faculté et est une 
didacticienne des mathématiques. Je suis enchanté de la voir se joindre 
à l'équipe de direction du CRM et je suis convaincu que son expertise 
académique tout comme sa vaste expérience en administration profiteront 
beaucoup au projet qu'elle va piloter et au CRM en général.

PROFESSOR LOUISE POIRIER
JOINS THE CRM MANAGEMENT TEAM

*Montréal, September 13, 2018.*- In his last budget, the Government of 
Quebec mandated the CRM to develop in collaboration with CIRANO an 
initiative to increase numeracy. A budget of one million dollars has 
been provided in 2018-2019 to that end.

In that context, I am happy to announce that Professor Louise Poirier 
from the Faculty of Education Sciences of the Université de Montréal, 
has been appointed by the CRM Board to the position of Deputy Director- 
Numeracy project for a term of two years that began on September 1, 
2019. Dr Poirier is the outgoing Dean of her faculty and is a specialist 
of mathematics didactics.

I am thrilled to see her join the CRM management team and I am convinced 
that her scholarship and extended administrative experience will much 
benefit the project she will steer and the CRM in general.
