** PIMS Announces Available Funding Support for the 2018 IPSW Taking Place at the University of Calgary
------------------------------------------------------------
There is still time to register for the 2018 Industrial Problem Solving Workshop (IPSW) taking place August 19-24 at the University of Calgary.

Financial support is available to participants for various local and travel expenses.

This year's problems are as follows:
Project 1: Sample size calculation in homogeneity assessment of certified reference materials
Project 2: Foliage obscured topographical mapping using kinematic GPS survey and aerial drone data
Project 3: Data Science and AI for Financial Markets
Project 4: Two dimensional phase unwrapping for distributed acoustic sensors
Project 5: Stochastic modelling of oil and gas economics: pricing, production and real options analysis
Project 6: TBA

This Industrial Problem Solving Workshops organized by the three Canadian institutes (the CRM, the Fields Institute, and PIMS).
