      UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA - DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS
      LIMITED-TERM ASSISTANT TEACHING PROFESSOR

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of
Victoria, invites applications for a limited-term Assistant Teaching
Professor position to commence Aug. 1, 2017, or as soon as possible
after that date. This is a full-time teaching appointment for two years
only. Junior mathematicians who want to further their teaching
experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

Candidates must hold a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, and must
have experience teaching at least six university Mathematics classes in
more than one subject area. Successful applicants will demonstrate a
passion for teaching and will provide documented evidence of excellence
in the delivery of mathematical sciences courses at the first- and
second-year level, in the form of teaching evaluations and supporting
letters. Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of Mathematics
courses will be considered an asset. Successful applicants will be
expected to teach and co-ordinate multi-section courses, and to
contribute through service to the Department and University.
