The Society regrets to announce that former CMS President Dr. Paul
George (Tim) Rooney passed away on December 16, 2016.

Dr. Rooney served as Editor of the /Canadian Journal of Mathematics
/(CJM) from 1971-1975, as CMS President from 1981-1983 and as a member
of the CMS Finance Committee from 1994-1996.
