Dear Spyros,  Dear Joel,

I am very glad to hear the two of you are interested in this possibility,
as I believe its a good opportunity and that you would complement each
other well and do a great job.

Even though the applications deadline is not until mid-May,
if it's not too much trouble to put your application together over the next
few days there might be some advantage to getting it in by the middle of 
next week.

The reason for this is that the publications committee meets twice
a year: this year 5 Dec 2015 and early June 2016.   I am thinking
if the publications committee has a concrete expression of your
interest by their December meeting,  there may be less of a push
to recruit competing applications between now and mid May.

If you decide to go ahead with this please bcc me on your application.
