CALL FOR NOMINATIONS 
CAP-CRM 2014 Prize
Submission deadline: November 15, 2013

The objective of this award is to recognize research excellence in the fields of theoretical and mathematical physics.

The award is not limited to CAP members but the candidates' research should have been done in Canada or in affiliation with a Canadian organization. In 1995, the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) and the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) created, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the CAP, a joint annual prize in recognition of exceptional achievements in theoretical and mathematical physics.

The next medal will be awarded in 2014. Deadline for nominations is November 15, 2013.

Nomination Criteria

The nominator must be a member in good standing of the CAP or a Council/CRM-approved Canadian professional science society (see list below) in order to be eligible to submit a nomination. 
There is no restriction with respect to society membership for nominees; however, the nominee must have spent the major part (i.e. more than one-half) of his/her working career in Canada or must have made a major contribution to mathematical physics after returning to a permanent position in Canada.

Council/CRM-approved Canadian professional science society for nominators

The nominator must belong to one of the following societies to be eligible to submit a nomination for the CAP-CRM Prize in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics:

    Canadian Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society
    Canadian Association of Physicists
    Canadian Astronomical Society
    Canadian Geophysical Union
    Canadian Mathematical Society
    Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society
    Canadian Organization for Medical Physicists
    Canadian Society for Chemistry

APPEL À CANDIDATURES 
LE PRIX ACP-CRM 2014
Date limite: 15 novembre 2013

Le prix ACP-CRM vise à souligner l'excellence dans le domaine de la recherche en physique théorique et mathématique. Les candidats admissibles ne doivent pas nécessairement être membres de l'ACP, mais leurs travaux de recherche doivent avoir été réalisés au Canada, ou dans le cadre d'une affiliation avec un organisme canadien.

La prochaine médaille sera décernée en 2014. Les mises en candidature doivent avoir été reçues au plus tard le 15 novembre 2013.

Les critères de nomination

Le présentateur de candidature doit être membre en règle de l'ACP ou d'une société scientifique professionnelle canadienne approuvée (voir la liste ci-dessous) par le Conseil/CRM pour être admissible comme candidate. 

Il n'y a pas de restriction à l'appartenance à des sociétés pour les personnes proposées; cependant, celles-ci doivent avoir passé la majeure partie (plus de la moitié) de leur carrière au Canada ou avoir fait une contribution exceptionnelle à la physique mathématique après leur retour dans un poste permanent au Canada.

Les membres des sociétés scientifiques professionnelles canadiennes suivantes sont admissibles à être présentateur de candidature pour le Prix ACP-CRM de physique théorique et mathématique
