Dear CMATH Colleague,

Since 1945, the CMS has been serving the mathematics community. Today, 
the CMS strives to promote the advancement, discovery, learning, and 
application of mathematics in every facet of Canadian pursuits.  Today, 
CMS programs, partnerships, and services like CMATH, touch every 
province and territory across Canada.  And today, I would like to 
personally invite you to help fuel the continued success of the CMS.

The success of the CMS would not be possible without the support of our 
volunteers, members, partners, and institutional supporters like PIMS, 
CRM and FIELDS and individuals like you who generously contribute to the 
CMS and the Canadian mathematics community.

By contributing to the CMS, you make a real difference to mathematics in 
Canada: high school students experience the fun and creative side of 
math; graduate students have opportunities to present their work for the 
first time at a CMS meeting, researches can showcase their discoveries 
at CMS meetings and in CMS journals, and math educators share best 
practices.  At the same time the CMS provides support to various groups 
across Canada including CanaDAM <http://canadam.math.ca/> and Kangaroo 
<http://kangaroo.math.ca/>.

Your interest in and support of the CMS adds strength to the national 
voice of Canadian mathematics here and abroad.  When you support the CMS 
you are also supporting other important initiatives like the national 
lecture series for MPE2013 
<http://cms.math.ca/Events/MPE2013/index.html>, the CUMC2013 
<http://cumc.math.ca/2013/index.php?content=committee>, and the 
inaugural MCA2013 <http://www.mca2013.org/> congress.

You and the CMS are making a real difference in our mathematics

La SMC est au service de la communauté mathématique depuis 1945. 
Aujourd'hui, elle a pour objectif de promouvoir et de favoriser 
l'avancement, la découverte et l'apprentissage des mathématiques, et les 
applications qui en découlent, dans toutes les sphères de la vie 
canadienne. Aujourd'hui, les programmes, les partenariats et les 
services offerts par la SMC, comme CMATH, s'étendent à toutes les 
provinces et à tous les territoires du Canada. Aujourd'hui, j'aimerais 
vous inviter personnellement à contribuer à l'essor continu de la SMC.

Le succès de la SMC serait impossible sans le soutien de ses bénévoles, 
membres, partenaires et établissements partenaires comme le PIMS, le CRM 
et l'Institut FIELDS, ainsi que de personnes comme vous qui contribuent 
généreusement à la SMC et à la communauté mathématique canadienne.
